Zusammenfassung (Buch in englischer Sprache)
Electronic networks open new possibilities of accessing resources online. However, such opportunities also pose new
challenges. In particular, decision makers face the challenge of properly selecting among the increasing range of seemingly equivalent alternatives – documents, products or people.
The purpose of this research is the conceptual development and implementation of an information system capable of
performing quality evaluations on arbitrary resources, whose representation is accessible on an electronic network. The distinguishing property of the proposed solution is a conceptual separation of
these semantic aspects of evaluation and the technical mechanism actually performing the evaluation. Thus, different users can easily tailor the solution to their particular evaluation context,
i.e. specific type of resources to be evaluated, rules of evaluation and their choice of quality indicators to be taken into consideration.
